This is a very lightly used Mamiya TLR C33.The film counter system and all controls work well and accurately. As with all C33s the automatic lens cocking lever mechanisms is a bit noisy. Bellows are as new and the rubberised covering is in pristine condition. The internal mirror is completely intact and the viewing screen is unmarked. The WLF snaps into place and the magnifying viewer works as it should. It is fitted with the latest style focussing scale which includes all lenses from 55mm to 250mm. Body no. is H352431 and the Mamiya date code sticker says HE.
The Mamiya sekor 105mm f3.5 chrome lens whose serial numbers of viewing/taking lens are 1150728/1153160. An appropriate UV filter, lens shade (not shown in the photographs) and original front lens cover will be provided. A non-Mamiya neck strap will follow with the Body.The lens is in very good optical condition. The 1 second timing is very close to 1 second. Aperatures move freely and there is no sign of damaged coatings or dust. The chrome of the 105mm lens has some surface tarnishing which can be seen in thephotographs. M and X sync has been checked. The Mamiya C33 was produced between 1965 and 1970 and was replaced (with very few changes) by the 3 C330 models which were the last TLRs produced by Mamiya. Unlike the later C220 models it has automatic cocking of the shutter. The C33 can be used with all the interchangeable lens produced by Mamiya for its TLR series - 55mm, 65mm, 80mm,105mm, 135mm, 180mm and 250mm. All of these lens are good and some are spectacular. There is an excellent Mamiya TLR System Summary website. The system was very well supported by Mamiya and there are many different viewfinders and extra equipment available. It takes 120 film and the frame size is 6x6cm. Glass above the fresnel lens has been removed. In the cleaning it was obvious that the important factory distance spacers were intact. The viewing screen can now only be described as in nearly new condition. although the condition of the mirror can be described as good and scratch free, there is a little loss of silvering at the very top right edge corner. This extends about 10mm and does not effect the viewed image on the screen.
